Hey There! Island girl: I got this chord progreasion like a cross bewteen Roy Orbison and The Beach Boys.The lyrics came fast to me and the best songs sometimes just fall into place like that. That's me on bass vocal too by the way, influenced by those Olivia Newton John records back in the early 70's.'Let Me Be There' and If You Love Me'.

The Weekend On The Island (Lasts All Week Long): I wanted to write one of those 60's party anthem songs like "California Sun" kinda; Just a feel good party song.

Parrot Head Bay (Phlockers Song): was written for an online magazine, Phlockers. It's a tribute to Parrot Heads and all they do for charity and such, while gettin' down.Did you know there are chapters in nearly every state? I'm proud of the chord progression in that one.Jolly good time creating the party vocals in the background.

Baskin' In The Sun: This is Trop Rock with Country leanings I guess. I wrote it back in March when we (Somerset Kentucky) had 12 inches of snow and it was 6 degrees below zero.I had to pull thru somehow and so the song did it.

Sleep on the Beach: Written with an Island dialect, this is another fun song. Uplifting melody and simple pensive lyrics.Sounds like an Hawaiian punch tastes.

Just A Pirate: This song features a little guitar riff, and a lyric about A guy who's ready to settle down, if the girl will have him.It has an Elton John 'Rock Of The Westies' feel to it, at least I think so.

Growin' Up As Fast As I Can: There's a lot of guys out there who are just big kids - me being one of them. With some fellas it's cars and boats and motorbikes - with me it's CDs, DVDs, and Books, The fine arts. Another fun song, but serious, but funny.

Precious Cargo: Trop Rock Gospel. Talk about a eclectic catagory! I'm thankful to the Lord Jesus for everything in my life. I visit with him everyday.Check him.out.He's the greatest.This one is dedicated to my friend Doyle.

Moonlight On The Water: a strange sounding song, but soothing none the less.Has a different chord structure to it. Exotic. A nice horn in there too.Written about my buddy Rodney and his wife Jacque going on vacation; but not to florida. Beach Bums' Son: These last two songs go hand in hand. I never intended to have the pun, "son of a beach bum" in this song, in fact a friend pointed it out to me! 2nd generation beach bum. No pressure on this guy to measure up at all.Beach life ain't it grand?

Beach Bum Blues: The whole point of this song is to point out that beach life never gets depressing.Just fun in the sun.Very little worries creep in when your there.The best things in life are free - if you've got enough money.to get to them.
