					<title>Phins To the West Report from the Cali Girls</title>
					<link>http://beachfrontradio.com/blog.cfm?feature=1154504&amp;postid=269899</link>
					<description>
&lt;!--Session data--&gt;Here ya go, Kids...I&apos;ve gotta share this with you!&amp;nbsp; From the beautiful Cali Girls- Cali Carol and Cali Christa...from Phins To the West in Laughlin, Nv this past weekend....I gotta get there next weekend...thanks, Ladies!

Phins To The West 2010 Report &amp;ndash;

What a great adventure the Cali-Girls had at PTTW in Laughlin!  The weather, for the most part, cooperated and the event was yet another stellar Parrot Head Phlocking that will go down in the PH history books.  And BeachFront Radio was there&amp;hellip;&amp;hellip;

Over 300 phlockers from all over the country came out to party with a purpose! And we did just that. The pool area at the awesome Avi Resort was bathed in feathers, fins and frivolity. This amazing musical line-up kept things &amp;ldquo;trocking&amp;rdquo;! Matt Wahl, Rob Mehl, Tall Paul, Crawdaddy, Jerry Diaz &amp;amp; Hanna&amp;rsquo;s Reef, Bob Karwin, Sam Rainwater, Jim Hoehn, Jerry Gontang and Stars on the Water, John Reno, and the incredible Keith Sykes. Non-stop Trop-rock! That&amp;rsquo;s what I&amp;rsquo;m talkin&amp;rsquo; about!

This event is so perfectly planned out by the PTTW committee. From the awesome venue overlooking the Colorado River to the fun-filled nights of theme planned parties there was no way you couldn&amp;rsquo;t have a good time while raising money for the Boys &amp;amp; Girls Clubs of Indian Country. And all that attended were so generous and truly &amp;ldquo;partied with a purpose&amp;rdquo;.

As with all Parrot Head events, there are stories that can be told&amp;hellip;&amp;hellip;.and those that can not. The pictures will start flooding FaceBook and I&amp;rsquo;m sure there will be a lot of &amp;ldquo;splaining&amp;rdquo; being done but in the end&amp;hellip;&amp;hellip;we did good and that&amp;rsquo;s what&amp;rsquo;s it&amp;rsquo;s all about.

So, when you&amp;rsquo;re looking at your 2011 Parrot Head event schedules, consider Phins To The West. You won&amp;rsquo;t be disappointed&amp;hellip;oh, and tell them you heard about it on BeachFront Radio.com!

					<title>Last Full Night :(</title>
					<link>http://beachfrontradio.com/blog.cfm?feature=1154504&amp;postid=208707</link>
					<description>&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Well, here I am writing my last blog from The Big Boat on our last full night of the cruise.&amp;nbsp; so sorry i wasn&apos;t able to write more during the past couple of days...they have been a real whirlwind of activities as well as not being able to log on while out to sea.&amp;nbsp; This has been such an incredible week...swimming in warm waters int he ocean, going zip-lining through the rain forests, and a great beach party where DJ Jeff got to be onstage with his cowbell with a whole bunch of awesome musicians including Tall Paul, Jim Hoehn, and Nadirah Shakoor.&amp;nbsp; I&apos;ve gotten a chance to meet Parrotheads and Trop Rock fans from all over the US and Cananda and I have so thoroughly enjoyed hearing all of the warm comments and compliments they have had about the station.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; We&apos;ve had a chance to record some of these amazing performances throughout the week and were able to present some of them to you live.&amp;nbsp; We&apos;ve got the final event...the song writers&apos; showcase...coming up yet and I know this will produce some real magical moments.&amp;nbsp; Ramajay Intercoastal has simply been amazing, Jim Hoehn has proven over and over again that he is a Trop Rocker that you all need to check out, and Nadirah Shakoor.....I am not the only one on this boat who is completely and utterly speechless.&amp;nbsp; Nadirah and her band Outside Art stunned us all over and over again.&amp;nbsp; You&apos;ll see what I mean later tonight.

I can&apos;t wait to talk to you all next week and tell you all about this amazing week.&amp;nbsp; PLUS, we have some incredible guests coming your way beginning with one of my all time Trop Rock favorites- the legendary Hugo Duarte.

I&apos;ll see you all soon!

Keep on Trockin&apos;,

					<title>Day ??? - Who cares? Woo-hoo!</title>
					<link>http://beachfrontradio.com/blog.cfm?feature=1154504&amp;postid=205568</link>
					<description>Wow&amp;hellip;what an awesome day on St. Martin yesterday! A handful of us grabbed a private tour guide named John to take us around the island and show us the best spots. John did not disappoint! After stopping for some Kodak moments along the way, we went to the beach for a couple of hours. I am happy to report that DJ Jeff celebrated clothing Optional Tuesday a day early and had the chance to go skinny dipping in The Atlantic Ocean&amp;hellip;.I cannot begin to describe what a free feeling that was! On top of that, several times, schools of tropical fish would swim right by, coming so close that you could reach out and touch them. Truly, one of the most incredible moments I&amp;rsquo;ve ever had in the ocean!!!
We stopped by a caf&amp;eacute; that is right by the local airport where you could watch the planes land. I enjoyed some grouper sticks and some mahi mahi sandwich. After a little bit of shopping, it was time to head back to the Carnival Miracle. You got the chance to hear some of Nadirah&amp;rsquo;s performance, witnessing it was even more spectacular. I can&amp;rsquo;t wait to hear more from her, Ramajay Intercoastal, and Jim Hoehn and I hope we are in a good spot so that we can bring the magic to you.
Well, we&amp;rsquo;re just about ready to land in our next port. I need to prepare to go zip lining today. Enjoy YOUR Clothing Optional Tuesday on The BeachFront!

Keep On Trockin&amp;rsquo;

					<title>Day Three at Sea!!!</title>
					<link>http://beachfrontradio.com/blog.cfm?feature=1154504&amp;postid=204247</link>
					<description>
What a busy weekend it&amp;rsquo;s been on The Big Boat! It was another full day at sea with tons of activities. The highlights of Saturday were performances by both Ramajay Intercoastal and Jim Hoehn. Ramajay performed on the back of the Lido Deck by the pool. Tall Paul and the Krewe were incredible and Quincy on the steel pans simply was amazing. Later that night, we all got a great performance and tons of story telling from Jim Hoehn. Dinner on Saturday was &amp;ldquo;Elegant Attire&amp;rdquo;&amp;hellip;try to picture 500 Parrotheads in long flowing dresses and ties and jackets!
Sunday morning, we all finally awoke to some sun shining&amp;hellip;it was a beautiful site being out on the open seas and being able to see the ocean surrounding us. The morning activity was The Virgin Olympics, an event which helps all of the first timers get to know each other. I supplied the music all morning and most of the afternoon by the poolside, playing requests and doing trivia with everyone. So many great comments from everybody about BeachFront Radio&amp;hellip;I had a great time!
Tonight is going to be one of my highlights of the week&amp;hellip;the first performance from Nadirah Shakoor and her band. Actually, I&amp;rsquo;m sitting in the sound booth during sound check getting a taste. There&amp;rsquo;s going to be another performance Monday night and we hope to bring it to you LIVE right here on BeachFront Radio! It&amp;rsquo;s dinner time now so I gotta run. I actually got some pool time in this afternoon and got to relax for a bit&amp;hellip;it felt great!

Keep On Trockin&amp;rsquo;!

					<title>Day One at Sea!</title>
					<link>http://beachfrontradio.com/blog.cfm?feature=1154504&amp;postid=203409</link>
					<description>Well, it&amp;rsquo;s Saturday morning here on the Carnival Miracle and we&amp;rsquo;ve got our first night at sea as a hazy memory. I must say that the Courtyard Mariott did a bang up job getting us to port. With busses every half hour, their system ran very smoothly. By the time we boarded the bus to going through security and registering for the ship to actually walking onto The Miracle, only two hours had passed. The time flew by quickly since I was in line surrounded by so many friends old and new. We left port in Ft. Lauderdale a bit late due to the winds coming through southern Florida although no one seemed to mind&amp;hellip;we&amp;rsquo;re all on Island Time! I finally got to meet my room mate Mike as we got our cabin set up for the week. Mike&amp;rsquo;s from Atlanta, a personal trainer and karaoke junkie. I think he and I are gonna have a fun week! We&amp;rsquo;ve got a great cabin with a view and plenty of space.
Day One saw a couple of activities, the first being the official Atlanta PHC Registration and meet and greet with everyone. A simple little raffle was our first effort to raise money for Breast Cancer Research, the official charity for this cruise for many years. The first raffle raised over $2,000! Our MC on the cruise is none other than Scott Sperber, who has dyed his hair and beard pink to help raise breast cancer awareness on the ship. At some point on the cruise, we will be having a &amp;rsquo;shave off&amp;rsquo; with Scott and several others where they will end up being completely bald with all donations going to the cause.
After a lovely dinner, we gathered for the &amp;ldquo;Pub Crawl&amp;rsquo; where 500 of us invaded 5 pubs in a couple of hours. After gathering in the main lobby where several folks received BeachFront Radio koozies, we all formed a huge conga line and visited an acoustic singer who commented that he doubts he will be seeing so many folks at his show for the whole rest of the week combined. We then marched off to the Jazz Club where a four piece band was playing the standard party tunes quite nicely. It was here where BeachFront temporary tatoos started appearing on various body parts. I have no knowledge of where they came from J
From the Jazz Club, we then headed over to &amp;ldquo;Dr. Frankenstein&amp;rsquo;s Lab&amp;rdquo;, the ship&amp;rsquo;s disco. The DJ was doing an incredible job with not only song selection but also beat mixing and insuring one song mixed smoothly into the next. It has been ages since I&amp;rsquo;ve longed to get back into a nightclub but I was sure feeling the itch tonight&amp;hellip;we had a blast! We then officially ended up the night at The Piano Bar where despite the fun everyone was having, the piano man had absolutely no resemblance to Billy Joel, both by looks AND skill. LOL!
It was an absolute incredible first day and as I type this, we&amp;rsquo;re all slowly crawling out of bed to get ready for Day 2. Today is going to be a simple day as the Parrotheads invade the Lido Deck Pool all day. We&amp;rsquo;ve got some great performances heading our way by Jim Hoehn and Ramajay Intercoastal. Stay tuned as you&amp;rsquo;re gonna hear some live music from these guys as well as Nadirah Shakoor in the next couple of days!
Be sure to check the FaceBook Page for a couple of pictures from The Pub Crawl. I&amp;rsquo;m looking at the map and it looks like we&amp;rsquo;re going to be passing El Salvador real soon. Despite the clouds, I want to run up and see if we can spot it at all.

Keep On Trockin&amp;rsquo;!
DJ Jeff

					<description>Aloha and WELCOME to BeachFront Radio! I can&amp;rsquo;t even begin to tell you all how excited we are to have you here.

BeachFront Radio&amp;rsquo;s mission is to be your island escape whether you are sitting at your desk with a pile of papers to sift through in front of you or you are actually sitting on your own favorite beachfront as you listen. We&amp;rsquo;re committed to bring you the best music from independent Trop Rock musicians and bands from all over The United States as well as play all of your favorite rock and country songs.

Since you&amp;rsquo;re reading this, that means you are now an Official BeachFront Beachbum&amp;hellip;congratulations! When you have some time, be sure to roam around the site, share some of your favorite pictures from your favorite beaches and Trop Rock events and shows. Check out the videos we have posted and read up on all of the artists who we play on BeachFront Radio. Stop by our forums and say hi or tell us whatever is on your mind. Be sure to share your thoughts on what you think about the station and the site. We love compliments but also need to hear when you think something isn&amp;rsquo;t up to snuff. Don&amp;rsquo;t worry, we can take it&amp;hellip;all of us here at BeachFront Radio wear big boy and big girl pants. And be sure to let us know what songs YOU would like to hear!

Please don&amp;rsquo;t hesitate to stop by our store and order some BeachFront BeachBum Beach Gear. We&amp;rsquo;re going to be traveling around the country over the next several months and we&amp;rsquo;ll be proud to see you out in the crowd modeling our logo. PLUS, it helps us pay the bills. When you visit one of our sponsors, let them know you heard about them on BeachFront Radio and don&amp;rsquo;t forget to tell all of your friends about us!

I feel a party about ready to begin. And everyone is welcome to join in our virtual conga line! You&amp;rsquo;re on The BeachFront, Baby&amp;hellip;your island escape starts right here and right NOW! Thanks for joining us!!!
