Saturday - February 19th

Capt'n Cali- Across the Arizona desert and then WTH??? Great weather all across the country and we get to the California State line and we hit rain.  When we finally arrived at the West Coast Studios, a HUGE Welcome home was waiting for us.  Thank you Cheeto Gyrl!!!!

DJ Jeff - The last stretch and the longest one!  The scenery was awesome in the desert.  So after, 3,452 miles, 14 states, 20 gas stations, no speeding tickets, no auto issues, and (may I proudly say) NO ARGUMENTS, we made it over the CA State Line and finally to Channel Islands Beach where I have "finally fond me a home".  Thanks for the welcome, Cheeto and Kody!

Friday - February 18th

Capt'n Cali -Arrived in Phoenix after driving across more desert and abducted by aliens.  Garcia's Grill in Mesa welcomed us with open arms.  Tons of fans on the patio and the Desert Island Band tuned up and ready to play.  Great music and a special appearance by Ray Cody.  After party with Crime Dog & Woody and a few friends ended a terrific evening.  Big THANK YOU to Mark and Viv McGuffin and our house hosts, Wayne & Jan.

DJ Jeff - So folks inPhoenix told us they were going to throw a party for us when we get there.  We were hoping that 5 or 10 people would show up.  We were greeted by over 100 Phoenix BeachBums!  The night was totally amazing, just what The Captain and I needed for our road weary sore butts.  The Desert Island Band and Ray Cody gave us an awesome night of music and everyone in Phoenix was just soooo excited to see us as we were of of them.  I can't wait for a road trip back to Phoenix...well, after the butt heals :)  Thanks to Mark and Viv, Wayne and Jan, Paula, and everyone else!

Thursday February 17th

Capt'n Cali-It was so nice to NOT have to climb in the car and head down the highway this morning.  Recording today's show on that beautiful patio in the sunshine was awesome! A great lunch and then........in the car and heading for New Mexico.  Steve & Gayla are the absolute BEST! Sharing the love! Can't wait for tomorrow's party with the Desert Island Band!

DJ Jeff- What a great morning with Steve and Gayla and got to meet Lisa, too!  We recorded the show for today then went for lunch.  Thanks Steve and Gayla for everything while we were in Van Horne!  Back in the car to finish Texas and then New Mexico.  They told me it would be boring but the mountains, the cactus, all of it was amazing.  Tomorrow morning, we go on a rattle snake hunt...don't tell the Capt'n :)

Wednesday February 16th

Capt'n Cali-Working the station while on the road sure makes the trip go faster. It was great to be able to join everyone on the FB page for the Anniversary celebration! Ain't technology grand! Finally made it to Van Horn, Texas and that badly needed hot tub and champagne. Was an awesome evening relaxing with our good friends.

DJ Jeff- Another day of driving pays off!  The drive was so much fun as we watched the FaceBook page all day long waiting for winners and also during the show we recorded the night before.  And then we finally land at Gayla and Steve Mitchell's...what fun!  Champaign, Anniversary Cake, relxing in the hot tub with great friends and Peter Mayer playing in the background.  BeachFront Radio's First Anniversary was certainly a fun and memorable one....thank you to ALL of you for being part of it!

Tuesday February 15th

Capt'n Cali-Wow, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas. All in one day! Awesome weather, great scenery and still......no "tiffs"...LOL

DJ Jeff- We drove from Fairhope to Houston all day...that's it...we drove!  But we had fun and found enough Kodak moments despite just driving.

Monday February 14

Capt'n Cali - Awwww, Valentines Day! Great day with Donna and her Aunt Joanne, who is one of Lucy Buffett's best buddies! What a kick she is and her stories of Lucy and her.......well, lets just say they've been kickin' up sand in Mobile Harbor for a long time and still at it! They showed us the sites....even the Famous Florabama. That evening, we were lucky enough to be entertained at Lulu's by the great Brent Burns!  We know why John Reno loves this area so much.......and we didn't want to go but.....lots more love to spread.

DJ Jeff - We felt the love on Valentine's Day in Alabama!  Donna McSpadden (Yep, Matt from Homemade Wine's Momma) was our "tour guide" showing us as much of Fairhope and Gulf Shores as she could squeeze in.  We were also treated to being serenaded by Brent Burns for Valentine's Day that night at Lulu's....well, serenaded as well as Brent could do...LOL!  The people down here are so friendly and warm, we NEED to come back here and spend more time!

Sunday, February 13

Capt'n Cali - Awesome trip down to Fairhope, Al. What a great area that is! Donna McFadden (Homemade Wine Mommy) had homemade gumbo waiting for us. Talk about Southern Hospitality! A fantastic hostess and so much fun. Not to mention "Lucy" her puppy.  Enjoyed a relaxing evening with them both and looking forward to a fun-filled day OFF the road.

DJ Jeff - Wow, just pulling into Fairhope, we knew this was going to be a fun stop but we had no idea what was waiting for us!  We had so much fun hanging out with Donna.  The real homemade gumbo was awesome, Lucy was so much fun to play with, and Donna was just a sheer delight.  Gotta rest up for tomorrow!

Saturday February 12

Capt Cali- A day with the Batman is quite an experience....Big hugs to Swimmy & Tigger for coming all the way here just to see us! What a memorable stop thanks to them, Batman & Jillyfish! Spreadin' the love and we sure love all of them!!!!

DJ Jeff- A day of rest in Nashville turned out to be anything but a day of rest and that's alright! A day with great friends Batman and Jilly Fish, Swim Skinny and Tigger...did I get enough rest for tomorrow?  We felt the Trop Rock Love in Music City, thanks for a special day from some great friends!
